Christchurch Commercial, Portrait and Event Photographer
I’ve been a commercial photographer in Christchurch for more than 15 years and have worked with thousands of people and businesses across New Zealand, creating portraits and imagery that feel natural, grounded, and expressive. My first commercial assignment was in 2010 on Mt Taranaki, climbing alone at 2am to photograph Salomon Running athletes. That commitment and calm focus still shapes how I work today.

A Calm, Intentional Approach
In a world full of fast, noisy images, my approach is simple: slow down, connect, and help people feel comfortable in front of the camera. Whether I’m photographing CEOs, tradespeople, creatives, or events, I bring a relaxed, steady presence that helps people look and feel their best. My background spans science, IT, design, mental health support, and community work. This mix of experiences gives me a unique understanding of people and the stories they carry.
I love to learn and hold a degree and Honours in Biochemistry, and in 2022 I completed a photography degree with academic excellence. Away from the camera, I love spending time outdoors with my dog Kodi or sweating it out in the sauna. Away from commercial work, I continue a personal film-based art practice that influences the stillness and intentionality in my professional work. I also mentor photographers through NZIPP and offer private tutoring.
